Frequently Asked Questions

What is Hex-DNS?

Hex-DNS is a new addressing protocol that allows users to access websites using a 6-character hexadecimal color code (e.g., MAFF5733) instead of a traditional text-based domain name (e.g., my-long-website.com). It requires a browser extension to function.

Does this replace my .com domain?

No. Hex-DNS acts as a universal shortcut. You still need your existing website hosting. The Hex-DNS system simply redirects traffic securely to your existing URL.

How does it prevent phishing?

Traditional domains suffer from "typosquatting" (e.g., g00gle.com instead of google.com). In our system, color codes are exact mathematical values. Furthermore, the ZONA extension actively displays a green "Verified Identity" banner showing the true owner before the user enters the site.

How much does it cost?

A standard Hex-DNS registration costs 100 MAD per year. Premium pure colors (like #000000) may be subject to different pricing or auctions.
